NARROW STREET CRED
If you walk in the faith long enough, you’re bound to stumble across some WILD deliverance and come-to-Jesus stories. I mean, Jesus will knock on the door of your heart in so many different ways. I’ve heard numerous people attempting to take their own life and they hear the voice of God. There are stories of people who never knew God and are dragged to hell in visions and dreams. There are testimony after testimony.
Then, there are people who had a slow burn with Jesus into salvation.
Sometimes, I meet Christians who feel bad because they don’t have a grand “coming to Jesus” testimony. Maybe they grew up in the church and gradually came into the knowledge of who Jesus is. There’s nothing LESS miraculous about that experience.
The Bible says that parents should, “train up a child in the way that they should go and when they’re old they won’t depart from it.” God’s intent was that you’d be trained up. When you've started on the narrow road at a young age, you're redeeming the time of the generations before you. A lot of us say we have "praying grandmothers". They prayed for this! I’d even argue that the hand of God KEEPING you in the faith (regardless of your trajectory) is a huge miracle! Never let the enemy trick you into dismissing the hand of God over your life.
Question to ponder: Do you ever question God’s hand over your life because of your story? How can you revisit your life and see His hand?
